Book signing at Gallery Nucleus Dec 4th at 2pm

I will be having a book signing at gallery nucleus, which is super exciting!

Producing this book is something I am very proud of because I have loved books my entire life, i read a lot as a kid and still do. I find it amazing that entire experiences, adventures, whole life's work, entire bodies of knowledge or anything imaginable can be communicated from author to reader, in such a controlled method. when ben, konstantin, nate and I were creating this book, we knew what we wanted, a large book, with no text crammed full of images, a sort of visual assault, a celebration of drawing. i was inspired by the sketchbooks of heinrich kley, and other dover sketchbooks, jerome opena, katsuya terada, Igor-alban Chevalier and others. I think it was the clarity of intend that made the book so solid.

The convention went really well, we completely sold out in just a few hours, but don't worry more books are on the way and i will post as soon as i know!

COME VISIT ME AT APE!

I will be at APE, the Alternative press expo, OCTOBER 16-17, selling a really nice book. I made it with 3 of the best artists I know. In total you get a 400 page book, 100 pages of art per artist, it is black and white, and 8 x 10.5 softcover. this book has zero filler it is ALL Art, Tons of great drawings!

For now we are doing an extremely limited run of 50 copies, at $40 each. or 10 dollars per artist!

I will of course be printing more soon, but it is very likely that this will be the only time to get the huge book version, and the next large size run will be cut in 2 volumes.

the artist's are myself, Ben Jelter, Nate Sisler, and Konstantin Pogorelov.

wyvern

I remember drawing a lot as a kid and then finding out about wyverns; dragon's with no arms, only 2 legs and wings. this was such a relief, since at the time i was really struggling making arms and wings work together.
