can i ask how you get (what looks like) pencil to scan so well?

thanks everyone, philippe, i do try to draw alot!

agent ouchie: I don't do anything special with my scanner. i use curves in photoshop.

but if you are unsatisfied with your results you might wanna try diffrent pencil types? there are of course diffrent hardness varieties of graphite, but you can also use a colored pencil. i like to use prismacolors, but i like derwent and staedlter pencils too, and water soluble can be a lot of fun.

a waxy colored pencil can give you the subtley and softness of something like a 6b graphite, yet not smudge
