quick and dirty

here are two quick sci-fi doodles from the sketchbook, pen with a watercolor wash on top

i finished the book i've been reading for the last few weeks, Kafka on the shore by Haruki Murakami i really loved it, i think murakami is just the best.

i also read over the last two days a comic book by this guy named mark andrews called collosus, it was a super cool story, but i really love the pictures, here is his blog:

Mark andrews blog

the composition and value was just really good, a level above any comic i've ever scene as far as value is concerned, and the story was very well constructed, all though i was a little unhappy with the ending

these drawings are freaking cool!! Loose yet so much life to them!! I had Mark Andrews as a story teacher in college for two years..he's awesome! Cant wait to come back and see more of your stuff!

thanks! i'm jealous you had him as a teacher, he came to my school about a year ago and talked for a few hours about storyboarding and about himself, it was totally awesome, it made me want to be a storyboard person like him.

hey man this stuff is brilliant.
The choice of colours and the way you render materials and tissues, supercool. Reminds me of Moebius.
Keep it up!
